Vajeh studied at the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver where she completed a 5 year doctorate program. Her interest in alternative medicine began with her own personal experience with chronic health conditions and fatigue, which were not satisfactorily addressed by Western practices. This led her to become curious about health and well-being.
Vajeh was drawn to Traditional Chinese Medicine’s holistic approach to heal the mind and the body as one entity, and to treat the cause of the disease rather than the symptoms. Her two greatest passions in life are good health and true happiness. It is a great ambition to aim for optimal health and happiness, yet it is not that easy to achieve at times. We do not have to try to manage alone; health practitioners are here to help
Vajeh has a background in biochemistry and microbiology, giving her a vast knowledge across both Western and Eastern interpretations of the body and health. She takes the best of both worlds to offer an individualized treatment for her patients. She has a specific interest in the relationship that stress and emotions have with physical health. Therefore, she particularly enjoys treating conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, muscular tension and fatigue. She also has a special interest in cosmetic acupuncture. It is very rewarding for her to help patients feel the best they can, inside and out. She believes health education and lifestyle choices are as important as what happens in the treatment room. The best results come from the practitioner and patient working together as a team.
