Pre-screening:
- All patients and staff are to use the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool prior to attending an appointment
- We will perform another screening at the time of your appointment on arrival
- Patients who do not meet the pre-screening criteria and/or are symptomatic will need to reschedule their appointment for another time
- Practitioners/staff who do not meet the pre-screening criteria and/or are symptomatic will need to reschedule their shifts and will not come into the clinic
- Patients/staff who do not meet the pre-screening criteria and/or are symptomatic are required to contact HealthLink BC at 8-1-1 for further assessment
Patient Preparation:
- Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment
- You are welcome to bring and wear your own mask in the clinic
- There is hand sanitizer and a hand-washing sink for patients to use at their arrival to and departure of the clinic
- We request that patients arrive unaccompanied unless the patient is a minor or is medically indicated
- Please prepare contactless payment when possible
Within Clinic Guidelines:
- Please practice physical distancing in our building and waiting room, giving yourself and others space while in the reception area
- Seating will be separated by 2 meters
- We will be spacing out appointments to ensure cleaning time between patients
- All contact points within the treatment rooms are cleaned and disinfected between patients
- The reception area will be cleaned at all contact points (e.g. door handles, chairs, keyboards, debit machine, surfaces etc) frequently
- Pens and clipboards will be sanitized between patient uses
- New face paper will be placed above the metal bar for the chiropractic tables
- Hand sanitizers will be available in the reception space and within the treatment rooms
- Hand soap is available at the sink at our handwashing station
- Magazines, toys, books, and other items not essential to the clinic will be temporarily removed to minimize possible contact points
- Reminders from BC CDC: Please avoid touching your face, sneeze/cough into your elbow and perform hand hygiene as necessary
Practitioners:
- Practitioners have surgical/procedural masks to use during treatment
- Practitioners will wear clean clothes designed for work only and will change when enter/leaving the clinic as appropriate
- All linens and pillow cases will be laundered after each use
