Dr. Christine Kadykalo has always been drawn to medicine and helping others feel well. Her approach involves individualized care as each person is different, while providing support to enhance the body’s own innate healing abilities. By removing obstacles to cure, improving function, and healing the mind along with the body we can get back to health. Dr. Kadykalo fostered her love of natural remedies from a busy life in athletics that involved using appropriate nutrition and physical therapies for optimal performance. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge of natural therapeutics and has a sole goal of getting you feeling better.
Dr. Kadykalo completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Ottawa. After university she took a year to perform research in a neuroscience lab, focusing in Parkinson’s disease. She completed her Naturopathic Doctorate at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. During her training she completed an internship focused in adjunctive cancer care and also interned at a community clinic providing care to low-income populations. Upon graduation she moved to Portland, Oregon to complete a residency through National University of Naturopathic Medicine, focusing in family medicine, hydrotherapy and chronic illness. After several years of working in Portland, Dr. Kadykalo decided to return to Canada and set up in Vancouver.
Dr. Kadykalo has extra training in Carroll Institute method of naturopathic hydrotherapy, individualized nutrition, trigger point injections, and biotherapeutic drainage, among standard naturopathic care. Her workup incorporates diagnostic testing through blood, stool, saliva or urine if needed. Collaborating with other health care professionals is important. She treats a variety of conditions, using a combination of proven therapies and traditional healing methods. Much of her practice focuses on digestive disorders, women’s health, mental health and pain/sports recovery.
In her free time, Dr. Kadykalo enjoys snowboarding, surfing and traveling the globe. She can also be found in the kitchen experimenting with healthy baking.
