Nourishing Tips For Winter

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine

The ancient Chinese followed the belief humans should live in harmony with cycles of nature. The winter’s dark and cold months indicate we should slow down, take care of our health, and replenish our energy.

Winter is a good time to nourish your Yin aspect by staying warm and preventing dryness. Your diet can promote the production of body fluids and their lubricating effects throughout the body such as:

  • Beetroot
  • Kidney Beans
  • Tempeh
  • Black Sesame Seeds
  • Barley
  • Sweet Potato
  • Mushrooms
  • Turmeric
  • Ginger
  • Bay Leaves
